Sound/scapes at the Asian Art Museum SF
Here are video documentations of my Sound/scape performances at the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco. The June performance is inspired by the works of Filipino-American artist Carlos Villa. The July performance, In the Cave of Guanyin, is inspired by the Chinese manifestation of Avalokiteshvara, the bodhisattva of Compassion. The final Sound/scape, Skipping Stones and Speaking Pines, is performed with Kanoko Nishi-Smith and takes inspiration from the paintings and brushwork of Uragami Gyokudo, Tokuyama Gyokuran, and Chiura Obata. Deep thanks to Janet Oh, curator, Jenny Chu and Steve Kaye for video, and Norman Teale for the audio recordings.

Premiere of 'Tuyshtak' - San Francisco Conservatory of Music Clarinet Studio
Tuyshtak, a piece for 6 B flat clarinets in just intonation, had a beautiful premiere at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Hats off to Jeff Anderle for leading the clarinet studio with such grace and especially to Luis Cruz, Eugenia Coe, Nicholas Weathers, Clayton Luckadoo, Meli Everson, and Yijin Wang for such a wonderful performance.

NakedEye Ensemble performing The Secret of Growth at Zoetropolis Cinema Stillhouse in Philadelphia, after a premiere at Delaware Community College in Media, Pennsylvania. Glad I got to beam over via zoom to talk about the piece before the show! Premiere of "In Stillness I Sing" - San Francisco Girls Chorus with Sarah Cahill
Here’s a snapshot taken at a rehearsal before the March 13th premiere of In Stillness I Sing, a piece commissioned by San Francisco Girls Chorus that has been in the making for the last year and a half. Thanks to artistic director Valérie Sainte-Agathe, pianist Sarah Cahill, engineer Zach Miley, and all the choristers and team of SFGC that made this program such a special one.

Rocket 八十八 - for Phill Niblock
Take a listen to Rocket 八十八 (Baat-Sahp-Baat), a new piece created in celebration of Phill Niblock’s 88th birthday, with Ellen Fullman on Long String Instrument and Shoveler (a new expanded ‘box bow’ tool) and TW on cello and electric guitar. This piece was part of Double Infinity - a marathon online festival in December 2021.
