The Queer and Trans Voices Tracking Series

The Queer and Trans Voices Tracking Series
Hosted by The Transgender District and Center for New Music

The Tracking Series is organized by the Center for New Music (C4NM). These events catalyze and build a community of new music practitioners to demonstrably improve equity within the field of new music. Each event is designed to include discussion, feedback, and action.

The Queer and Trans Voices Tracking Series, co-presented by C4NM and the Transgender Cultural District, will be hosted on Zoom (or a comparable conferencing platform), and broadcast to C4NM Facebook and YouTube channels. This event will be a roundtable discussion on queer, trans, and non-binary musicians’ experiences in the new music industry, their access to resources, existing barriers that don’t exist for cis/straight artists, and how we move forward to a more equitable future. Featured panelists include Mya Byrne, Luciano Chessa, Stephen Hall, Theresa Wong, Sharmi Basu, Amanda Chaudhary, and Tyler Holmes – moderated by D. Riley Nicholson of C4NM, Bill Hsu of the Queer New Sounds Festival, and Sean Greene of the Transgender Cultural District.
