For this multi-disciplinary colloqium lead by visual, public and performance artist Johanna Poethig, Theresa Wong will give vocal workshops to students and community members in preparation for a 30 minute performance piece, Lips of Lapis Lazuli on April 5th. Drawing on ancient practices of lamentation and wailing, the piece addresses the violence and experiences of women in war through vocal improvisation and sound.
